RCUK Roadshows for Researchfish
From September 2014 onwards all seven Research Councils will be using Researchfish for the collection of information on the outcomes of Research Council funded research.
Previously researchers funded by AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC and NERC returned information via a system called ROS (Research Outcomes System) whilst only researchers funded by STFC and MRC returned information via Researchfish.
Roadshows on the new harmonised collection service have now been arranged and are open to all researchers, research managers and research administrators. The events will be free of charge. The dates and venues are shown below.
Monday 6th October
Hilton London Euston
17-18 Upper Woburn Place, Bloomsbury
Tuesday 7th October
Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel
Piccadilly Plaza, Portland St
Manchester, M1 4PH
Wednesday 8th October
Novotel Edinburgh Centre
80 Lauriston Place
Edinburgh, EH3 9DE
It is anticipated that there will be separate morning and afternoon sessions at each venue (depending on numbers) and will be an opportunity to find out about RCUK plans for research outcomes and ask any questions you may have.
If you would like to attend one of these roadshows then please email email@example.com with the following information:
- Your name and job title
- Organisation name
- Date you would like to attend
- Any dietary or mobility requirements
Please also state if you would like the day to cover the following topics:
- Why outcome data needs to be collected
- Examples of how outcome data has been used
- Researchfish demonstration
- What other organisations use Researchfish
- Future plans for outcomes collection
- Questions and answer session
- Whether there is anything else you would like RCUK to talk about
An event will also be arranged for Northern Ireland if there is sufficient interest.
It may be necessary to limit number in the event that the roadshows are over-subscribed.
